Funpops is a poolside snack bar located in a natural scenic area. They provide various types of snacks for their visitors and allow them to customize their food. Funpops target anyone who has different food tastes and choices without any age difference. They allow people to customize their food and enjoy the time they spent at Funpops with a feeling like being at their home.
People who have special food choices like allergies and specially vegetarians does not get enough facilities to customize their foods or meals in snack shops as per their choice.
Design an app for Funpops poolside snack bar which allow customers to select foods and customize it to their taste by replacing any ingredient by the ones they love to have in their food.
I conducted several interviews with the Funpops team to identify their requirement first. Then I did few interviews with selected users and created empathy maps to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs. A primary user group identified through research is people who have special food choices due to various personal reasons.
Food choices for vegan and vegetarian people are always limited. Even no any flexibility is given for them if they want to try a non vegan food with small customizations.
People get affected by food allergies unknowingly due to less awareness about what’s including in their foods before they eat.
People who hate some spices or tastes can’t replace them by anything else when ordering food. They just have to look for another food item from menu.
Due to some bad food experiences some people are scared of eating from snack bars since the ingredients are not transparent for the customers.
