ICONN HRM is an all-in-one platform for human resources management (HRM) that uses smart automation. It is a full-featured HRM software that combines core and strategic HR functions into a single solution that seemelesly works with the concept of (WFH) work from home.
Emeagia had a well-established legacy HR system with biometric readers that worked perfectly — until COVID made it obsolete overnight. With offices across Australia and Sri Lanka, they needed to move fast. The old technology couldn’t support remote working, and waiting around wasn’t an option. That gap in the market was exactly where ICONN HRM was born a fully digital HR management system built for the way people actually work now.
The research started where it needed to — with the actual users. Individual interviews with HR professionals uncovered the real pain points of the existing system, not assumptions, but lived frustrations. Those findings were cross-referenced with a full competitor audit to understand how similar systems were already solving the same problems. Everything was then synthesised into a comprehensive findings presentation delivered to Business Analysts and Project Managers, giving the redesign a clear, evidence-backed direction before a single wireframe was drawn.
Before wireframing began, the team audited every design flaw and usability issue in the old system. The goal was never just a visual refresh. It was a full transformation into a human-centred interface that resolved existing pain points while setting the product up for growth. A new branding system was introduced fresh logo, updated colour scheme, and an interface designed around how HR teams actually think and work.
