ICONN HRM is an all-in-one platform for human resources management (HRM) that uses smart automation. It is a full-featured HRM software that combines core and strategic HR functions into a single solution that seemelesly works with the concept of (WFH) work from home.
Even though there were a lot of HR systems on the market, most of them had trouble coupling HR functions with the idea of working from home. Emeagia, a business with offices in Australia and Sri Lanka, wanted to move in quickly to take advantage of this opportunity. Even though Emeagia had a legacy HR system with biometric readers that was very popular before COVID, they had to come up with a creative way to get rid of the outdated technology and replace it with a mobile solution that was more suitable for the current times. This was how ICONN HRM, a digitalized HR management system, came to be.
As the initial step towards making improvements to the ICONN HR Management system, we conducted user experience research for this project. Our team conducted individual interviews with HR professionals at their own office to build a strong relationship with them, allowing them to share their honest opinions and experiences with the current system without any hesitation. Through these interviews, users demonstrated the real issues they faced when using the existing system and even suggested their own solutions to address those issues.
Before beginning wireframing, the team analysed the design flaws and UX concerns of the legacy system. An objective given to the team was to resolve the existing difficulties and develop a user-centric system design that yields the greatest usability for our users. After optimising and completing the wireframe designs of multiple modules, the team initiated the new UI design. However, we chose a new branding concept that resembles the branding of the previous design.
The existing system was completely transformed with a new branding. The new branding included a fresh logo, an updated colour scheme, and a human-centered & user-friendly interface. These changes were implemented to improve the overall user experience and attract new customers.
The product was redesigned to facilitate future plans for expansion throughout South Asia. It was not only designed to meet the current needs of the existing user base, but also to accommodate future requirements. It is considered a next-generation cloud-based HRMS that connects the workforce with internal and external information to accomplish organisational goals and teamwork. As an all-in-one HR solution, it provides extensive HR capabilities, such as employee information management, leave management, payroll, employee self-service, time & attendance monitoring, shift management, and many others, with flexible administration-level customizations.
